Idea for Augmenting Human Function

My idea is to create a head piece that serves multiple functions. The piece would be fairly minimal on surface area of the head covered. It would wrap over 1 eye and ear from the front to the back of the head and neck. Much like a partial hemispherical cover. Now this device would enhance the sight, hearing, and understanding of body language for the increasingly socially awkward techno-geeks.
First the device would allow for image magnification and focusing assistance, This would be achieved by either a lens device resting directly on the eye like a borg eye piece, or through a clear LCD screen that is right on top of the eye like a scouter from Dragon Ball Z. This LCD screen would just impose the enhanced image over what the person sees normally.
The ear piece would look much like a large cupping headphone and would serve to isolate and enhance specific sound frequencies. Not a whole lot more to say about that. The entire device will be a clean matte white and orange or lime green color. This I believe will provide a sleek futuristic appearance for the entire device.
To cover some of the final features of the head piece. It constantly will be emitting sonar much like a bat to see if anything is approaching the head at a fast velocity. So if 1 ping of sound bounces back and the 2nd ping bounces back significantly faster then the device will shoot out a gel like substance to absorb the impact for the user. Finally the device has a lcd screen located around the forehead that helps all the techno geeks out in social situations. This is achieved by displaying an emoticon explaining how the person currently feels. On this display one would see a :) if they were happy, :( if sad, >:( if angry, :| if bored etc. All of these combined elements would allow this device to create the ultimate squad of cyber geek ninjas!
